Our firm specialises in Accounting, Business Advisory Services, Audit, and Taxation. About the role

As a Tax Manager or Senior Manager, you will deliver top-notch tax advice, aligning it with our clients' overall business strategies. You'll handle diverse tax tasks across all areas with specialist support when needed. From day one, you'll manage and develop relationships with well-established clients, including inbound multinationals, innovative exporters, and leading New Zealand businesses.

Work with a diverse client base, from medium to large family-owned businesses to inbound multinationals.
Be part of a team of proud tax all-rounders, offering advice and support across all tax types while having the opportunity to build specialist knowledge in areas you're passionate about.
Engage in a mix of tax consulting and compliance work, with opportunities to interact directly with clients, handle restructuring, tax due diligence projects, and assist with Inland Revenue audits and disputes.
Collaborate with Baker Tilly network members worldwide.
Skills and experience needed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Degree in an Accounting or related discipline (an LLB would be an additional benefit)
A Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification (or be working towards this)
At least 5 years’ proven NZ tax experience in a professional services environment
Advanced skills in TaxLab and Excel
Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Experience in or openness to using AI and associated tools to increase your effectiveness
