The opportunity
As Tax Intern, you will be a part of our Private Client Services (PCS) group. A team of talented and dedicated professionals who provide a range of tax services to companies, business owners and high net worth individuals. Our professionals provide quality tax compliance and provision services in many industries and offer advice on tax planning in Canada and abroad, wealth transfer, estate planning and asset protection strategies. Our PCS team works closely with the shareholders and management of family businesses, acting as tax advisor.
Your key responsibilities
Your role as Tax Intern will give you the opportunity to combine tax work for companies, business owners and high net worth individuals with structured and virtual learning. Our curriculum will build your career in Canadian Corporate tax including work experience in tax compliance, tax accrual reviews, tax provision preparation and review and tax planning. Our people work on key client issues in domestic corporate income taxation, with a focus on implementing tax strategies that align with clients’ business objectives.

Motivation and a keen interest in taxation and accounting;

To qualify for the role, you must have
In the process of obtaining a College diploma in accounting, finance or tax, or equivalent;
A passionate interest in developing Canadian income tax knowledge;
A desire to work in a learning environment;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills;
This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and professionals nationally and globally. Professional competency in the English language is therefore a requirement of this role. Bilingualism in both French and English is considered an asset;
The ability to work alongside team members to ensure the timely completion of exceptional client service.
