At Oranga Tamariki, our people need reliable, accurate, and timely HR and payroll systems so they can focus on supporting tamariki and wh nau across Aotearoa.
As a Systems Analyst HRIS, youll play a key role in ensuring our HR systems are robust, efficient, and continuously improving. Youll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to investigate issues, deliver system enhancements, and support system changes.
Key aspects of the role include:
Maintaining and optimising HRIS applications and system configuration
Investigating and resolving system issues and incidents
Supporting change requests, system upgrades, and releases
Partnering with stakeholders to improve processes and system capability
Supporting reporting and production issue resolution
Youll be working within an SAP SuccessFactors environment, alongside internal teams and external support partners.
In this role, success looks like delivering reliable system support, contributing to continuous improvement, and building strong, trusted relationships across the business.

Technical & Systems Knowledge
Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, particularly Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll
Understanding of HR systems, processes, and databases
Analysis & Problem Solving
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
Ability to identify opportunities for system or process improvement
Stakeholder & Delivery
Experience managing competing priorities across a range of stakeholders
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across business and technical teams
Cultural Capability
Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices, including tikanga M ori and Pacific peoples cultures
Nice to have:
Experience supporting system upgrades or releases
Experience working in a complex or public sector environment
