Key Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and user account administration
Support cloud-based platforms, including Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
Monitor system performance, availability, and security across the IT infrastructure
Perform server patching, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery activities
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related issues
Support virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
Maintain and improve cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, and access management
Document system configurations, procedures, and technical processes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technical teams on infrastructure projects
Assist with network administration and IT service continuity initiatives
Skills & ExperienceEssential
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role
Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration
Experience supporting virtualised environments (VMware or Hyper-V)
Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VPNs, switching, and firewalls
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
Experience with Microsoft Azure or cloud infrastructure platforms
Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation
Exposure to cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks
Industry certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware, or ITIL
