Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Server Administration – Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers (HIS, LIS, RIS, PACS, EMR, file and application servers).
Virtualization Management – Manage and monitor virtual environments using VMware (VM creation, snapshots, resource allocation, HA, backup integration).
Firewall Management – Configure, monitor, and update enterprise firewalls to ensure secure network access, VPN connectivity, and protection from cyber threats.
Network Infrastructure Management – Configure and maintain Cisco Systems switches, VLANs, routing, and core network architecture.
Antivirus & Endpoint Security – Deploy and manage enterprise antivirus/endpoint protection solutions across servers and client systems; monitor threats and ensure timely patching.
Backup & Disaster Recovery – Implement and monitor server backups, test data restoration processes, and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical hospital systems.
User & Access Management – Administer Active Directory, group policies, role-based access controls, and password policies to ensure data security and compliance.
System Monitoring & Performance Optimization – Monitor server health, storage utilization, CPU/RAM usage, and network performance; proactively resolve bottlenecks.
Patch & Update Management – Ensure regular OS, firmware, and security patch updates for servers, network devices, and endpoints.
