Strategic Sourcing Specialist

• Identification and Selection of Strategic Suppliers for Sourcing of E&E components like Lamps, Switches, ECU, DC-DC Converter, BMS, Charger, EMS Parts etc.
• Supplier assessment and rating based on supplier potential and capability. Derive continuous improvement plan for all non-conformities.
• Should be conversant with Engineering drawings / standards, GD & T, manufacturing processes, various production methods / technologies, testing standards.
• Should have sound knowledge of surface treatment processes like painting, plating, powder coating, heat treatment etc.
• Must know about engineering materials, availability in India, alternate equivalent materials.
• Must have a sound knowledge of electronic parts supplier base
• Must have knowledge of APQP / WCSQ system for product development.
• Sending RFQs, resolution of technical queries of suppliers and obtaining quote for parts.
• Managing drawings study, price & technical negotiations & vendor process and overseeing follow-up with vendors for timely deliveries
• Parts development as per required drawing / spec, within budgeted component cost and as per defined timelines.
• Setting zero base costing / target cost with benchmarking and handling comparisons of components
• Component costing and cost negotiation and settlement with suppliers as per target cost.
• Developing new tooling for parts, tool price finalization & tooling capital expenditure control.
• Handling budgeting & planning funds for procurement & sourcing of materials ensuring optimum utilization of raw materials, maximum cost savings & meeting anticipatory orders
• Overseeing & controlling capital expenditure
• Should have hands on experience in estimation of conversion cost, machine hour rates etc.
• Co-ordinate PPAP at supplier as per APQP standards, verifying process capability & PSW sign off – quality clearance for SOP.
• Initial process establishment at supplier as per standard process flow.
• Capacity Ramp up as per projected volumes through process optimization, localization, tooling duplication & alternate sourcing.

Special Requirement

Costing, E&E components manufacturing process knowledge, Negotiation, Engineering Qualification

Essential:

· Experience in VD/ Sourcing of Two-Wheeler E&E Components with a Tier1 or OEM

· Must have costing experience in Plastic domain

· Plastic components manufacturing process experience

· Activity based costing experience

· Negotiation and collaboration with global suppliers

Good presentation and MS office skills
