Job Description
Job Purpose
To assist in the day-to-day operations of the hotel stores by receiving, checking, storing, issuing, and maintaining food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, kitchen supplies, and other hotel materials while ensuring proper stock control and FIFO procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving Materials
Receive goods delivered by approved suppliers.
Check quantity, quality, specifications, expiry dates, and packaging condition.
Verify materials against Purchase Orders, invoices, and delivery challans.
Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the Store In-Charge.
Storage & Stock Management
Store materials in the appropriate storage areas.
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) procedures.
Maintain proper segregation of food, beverages, chemicals, housekeeping items, and other materials.
Ensure stores are clean, organized, dry, and pest-free.
Maintain proper labeling and identification of stock.
Material Issuing
Issue materials to various hotel departments based on approved requisitions.
Record all issues accurately in the stock register/system.
Ensure materials are issued according to authorized quantities.
Inventory Control
Maintain accurate stock records.
Conduct regular physical stock counts.
Assist with monthly stock taking and inventory reconciliation.
Identify slow-moving, excess, damaged, or expired items.
Immediately report stock discrepancies to the Store In-Charge.
Documentation
Maintain Goods Received Notes (GRN), Material Issue Notes, stock registers, and other store documents.
Ensure all store transactions are properly recorded.
Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.
Food Safety & Hygiene
Follow hotel food safety standards and applicable FSSAI requirements.
Check expiry dates and storage conditions regularly.
Ensure food items are stored at appropriate temperatures where required.
Maintain personal hygiene and proper housekeeping in the store.
Coordination
Coordinate with Purchase, Kitchen, F&B, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Accounts departments.
Inform the Store In-Charge about items approaching minimum stock levels.
Assist in preparing stock requirements and replenishment requests.
Security & Loss Prevention
Ensure materials are issued only against authorized requisitions.
Prevent unauthorized removal or misuse of hotel property.
Report damaged, missing, expired, or suspicious stock immediately.
Required Skills & Competencies
Basic knowledge of hotel stores and inventory management.
Knowledge of FIFO and FEFO.
Basic computer knowledge and Excel skills.
Good counting and record-keeping ability.
Attention to detail.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Physically fit to handle and move store materials.
Honest, responsible, and organized.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
