Job description
Patient Care Responsibilities
• Monitor patients’ vital signs regularly and report any changes to doctors.
• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients as per hospital protocols.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments prescribed by doctors.
• Assist doctors during emergency procedures and critical interventions.
• Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and nursing notes.
• Ensure proper infection control and hygiene practices in ICU.
Equipment Handling
• Operate and monitor ICU equipment such as ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, and suction machines.
• Check functionality of medical equipment before use.
• Report any equipment malfunction immediately to the biomedical department.
Emergency Management
• Respond promptly during medical emergencies and code blue situations.
• Assist in CPR and life-saving procedures.
• Ensure emergency medicines and crash carts are properly maintained.
Patient Safety & Comfort
• Ensure patient safety, positioning, and pressure sore prevention.
• Maintain cleanliness and comfort of patients.
• Communicate patient condition updates to senior staff and doctors.
Coordination & Communication
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, technicians, and other departments for patient care.
• Guide and support patient attendants regarding ICU rules and patient status.
• Maintain professional behavior and confidentiality of patient information.
