Staff Nurse
Children Young Adults Service
Full time positions available - 37.5 hours per week
Internal Rotation with the option of long days
Due to exciting new developments we are looking for fun loving and skilled Registered Childrens Nurses who have completed their preceptorship looking for a change? Job responsibilities
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing a high quality service to children, young people and young adults with life shortening and life threatening conditions with complex health needs, and support their families and carers in the delivery of that care.
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing high quality palliative and end of life care.
To assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised holistic care packages without direct supervision over a 24 hours period for the children, young people and young adults, aged 0 to 25 years, who access the service at St Oswalds.
To contribute to interagency and inter-professional collaboration and team work to ensure that delivery of care is timely, well co-ordinated, effective and appropriate to need.

Qualifications Essential
Registered Nurse with NMC.
Evidence of post registration professional experience and development in caring for children young adults.
Desirable
Child Branch or Learning Disability NMC Registered
Mentor qualification
Teaching qualification
Experience Essential
Ability to assess care needs and develop programmes of care for children, young people and young adults
Ability to maintain boundaries
Work as a member of a multidisciplinary, multi agency team
Experience of teaching and supporting learners and others
Ability to work with others to provide a high level of clinical care over a 24 hour period
Desirable
Palliative care experience
Experience of working with children with disabilities

Knowledge Essential
