The position entails providing a variety of services to the clients for whom you are responsible. Services include, but are not limited to, accounting/bookkeeping services on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis, payroll services, preparation of local government forms such as personal property schedules and gross receipts tax returns and providing documentation for workman compensation audits. Applicant should possess good communication skills, contribute to a happy and productive office environment, and possess the skills necessary to perform the tasks stated above. A forty-hour work week is standard, but there is some flexibility in the hours worked per day. Salary is negotiable based upon education and experience.
Responsibilities
• Manage a book of clients assigned to you
• Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
• Be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting (previous experience is an acceptable substitute for a degree)
• A minimum of one year experience in accounting/bookkeeping
• Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and Word
