We are partnering with a dynamic and rapidly growing company in Dallas to find a Staff Accountant who will play a key role in supporting the company’s continued financial success. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting daily accounting operations and audit readiness initiatives. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong accounting foundation who can support reconciliations, close processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting ongoing reconciliation projects across various GL areas. It offers the opportunity to grow into more senior roles as the accounting function scales.
Responsibilities
Support the Financial Controller in executing daily accounting tasks and month-end close activities.
Prepare journal entries and assist with payroll accruals and general ledger maintenance.
Perform reconciliations for key accounts including:
Deferred Revenue
Sales Tax
Fixed Assets
Prepaids
Intercompany AR/AP
Inventory
Addbacks
Goodwill and Equity Roll-forwards
Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and reconciliation workpapers to support future audit activities.
Leverage accounting systems (Sage, Zenoti, Avalara, Asset Edge, and Medvelle) to tie out balances and ensure audit-ready support.
Contribute to policy development and help maintain GAAP-compliant financial practices.
Requirements
1-3 years of accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
Experience with Sage accounting software is required.
Experience with reconciliation processes and audit prep is a strong plus.
High attention to detail and excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Excel and experience working with financial systems like Zenoti, Avalara (AvaTax), and/or Asset Edge is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
