Job Description
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 1 day per week - subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Lead business systems analysis activities for Wire Payments and SWIFT payment initiatives within a Banking environment.
Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements by collaborating with business stakeholders, operations teams, technology teams, and solution architects.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, use cases, process workflows, data flow diagrams, and data models to support solution design and development.
Support the implementation and enhancement of high-value payment solutions, including SWIFT and Lynx payment processing platforms.
Analyze end-to-end payment workflows, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and payment processing capabilities.
Work closely with business and technology teams to define ISO 20022 message requirements, data mappings, and business rules supporting payment modernization initiatives.
Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and operations teams throughout the SDLC to clarify requirements, support solution design, and ensure successful implementation.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Support SIT, UAT, defect triage, and production validation, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and regulatory standards.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including BRDs, functional specifications, process diagrams, workflow documentation, presentation materials, and status reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Conduct impact analysis, dependency assessments, and requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Contribute to Payments Modernization initiatives, supporting industry standards and emerging payment technologies, including ISO 20022 migration and Canadian payments modernization where applicable.
Effectively manage stakeholder expectations, communicate project progress, and provide ongoing business analysis support to ensure successful delivery of Wire Payments transformation initiatives.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must have Skillset:
At least 5-7 years of experience as a BSA in Wire Payments/SWIFT Payments
Strong knowledge of high-value payments ecosystem (SWIFT/Lynx wire payments)
Experience working on stakeholder requirements and translate them into different tangible deliverables such as functional specifications, user cases, user stories, workflows process diagrams, data flow and data model diagrams.
Knowledge of ISO20022 payment standard and payment processing platforms (Payment Services Hubs, payment engines)
Microsoft Office suite products such as word, excel, Visio and PowerPoint
Nive to have knowledge of Industry Payments Modernization initiatives (Global and Canadian).
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
