Position: Sr. Video Editor / AI Filmmaker
Location: New Delhi (Netaji Subhash Place)
Experience: 2+ years
Mode: On-site Only (Monday - Saturday)
Package: Up to 6 LPA
About Company
Jolt is an iOS app built to help people take back control of their attention and follow through on what they actually meant to do.
We're a young, fast-moving team in Delhi, and content is a major part of how we're building the brand.
We're looking for a Senior Video Editor who is ridiculously comfortable inside an editing timeline — someone who knows their tools so well that shortcuts are muscle memory, not something they have to think about.
But traditional editing is only half the role.
We also want someone who understands how AI can be used to create visual assets, shots, environments, transitions and entire sequences that would otherwise be difficult, slow or expensive to produce.
What you'll be creating:
You'll work across Jolt's organic and performance content: short-form reels, paid ads, product videos, culturally relevant edits, creator-led videos, cinematic brand pieces, UI/product sequences, motion-led content and AI-generated visual concepts.
Some videos will begin with footage.
Some will begin with a screen recording.
Some may begin with a reference from a film, an idea scribbled in Slack, or a sentence that requires you to figure out how the hell we visually execute it.
We want someone who enjoys that problem.
What we're looking for:
Editing needs to be your core strength.
You should be highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with strong working knowledge of the broader Adobe ecosystem where required.
You should also be comfortable in DaVinci Resolve, particularly when it comes to colour, finishing and working efficiently between tools.
And when we say proficient, we don't mean “I've used Premiere for three years.”
We mean:
• You navigate the timeline almost entirely through keyboard shortcuts.
• Trimming, ripple edits, nesting, masking, tracking, speed manipulation, keyframing, proxies, multicam, audio cleanup and project organisation are second nature.
• You know when something should be done in Premiere, when it belongs in After Effects and when Resolve is the better tool.
• You can look at a reference edit and quickly reverse-engineer its pacing, transitions, typography, sound design and visual grammar.
• You're fast without your work looking fast.
AI visual creation is a core part of the role
We don't want someone whose idea of AI is entering one prompt and downloading whatever comes out.
You should understand how to use current AI image and video generation workflows as part of an actual production pipeline.
That means being able to take an idea such as:
“We need a cinematic shot of someone's bedroom slowly filling with an infinite social-media feed.”
…and figure out how to make it convincing.
You should be comfortable with things like image-to-video, text-to-video, reference-image workflows, character/scene consistency, shot extension, generative compositing, AI-assisted VFX, cleanup and upscaling—and, importantly, know how to take imperfect generated assets into traditional post-production and make them feel intentional.
The specific AI tools will change. Your ability to learn them quickly shouldn't.
Your taste matters as much as your software knowledge
We're not hiring someone simply to assemble footage provided to them.
A strong editor should be able to ask:
What's the first frame? Why would someone keep watching? Does this shot stay for 0.8 seconds or 1.4? Does this transition add anything? Where should the music drop? Is this text actually readable? Can we communicate this without another line of copy?
You should understand rhythm, retention, visual hierarchy, sound design, typography and story.
If something feels slow, you notice it.
If something feels cheap, you notice it.
If there is a better way to communicate the idea visually, you suggest it.
You'll probably be a strong fit if
You have roughly 2+ years of serious editing experience or a portfolio that makes years of experience irrelevant.
You've edited high-quality short-form/social content and understand that editing for a 20-second reel is not simply editing a longer video and making it shorter.
You're comfortable receiving a concept rather than a frame-by-frame instruction sheet.
You're obsessive about small details but don't need five days to finish a 30-second video.
You follow internet culture, filmmaking, advertising, design and emerging visual formats.
And you actively experiment with new creative technology because you're curious—not because someone at work told you to.
What we care about more than your CV
Your work.
When applying, send us your portfolio/showreel and 3 pieces you're personally most proud of.
For each, briefly tell us what you were responsible for.
If you've made anything using AI-generated imagery/video, send that too and tell us what parts were generated versus created traditionally.
Please don't send 40 links. Three great pieces tell us more than forty average ones.
