What You Will Do In Your Role (Java Application Support - Dev/Ops)
• Provide first-line application support for a wide range of product or systems-related service requests.
• Should have very good production support experience
• Log and manage support requests in the appropriate systems and ensure that the appropriate internal and customer follow-up is performed within the published or agreed timelines
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues, working towards the resolution at first level within a timely manner or work with your manager or team members to reassign to the appropriate resource or group.
• May reproduce technical issues that customers report in a test environment to troubleshoot & resolve.
• Extensive knowledge of program development and analysis of capabilities designed to resolve business requirements utilizing Oracle products and tools.
• Ability to influence and set technical direction.
• Apply best knowledge fixing application issues, implementing standards to medium complexity and recommend process improvements.
• Recognize upstream and downstream impacts; communicate effectively (verbally & in writing).
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining Java applications that are often high-volume and low-latency, required for mission-critical systems
• Delivering high availability and performance
• Managing Java and Java EE application development
• Very good knowledge on the Java/J2ee and have hands-on experience in analyzing the code and figure the root of the issues
• Ensuring designs comply with specifications
• Preparing and producing releases of software components
• Perform Maintenance and Support Activities for application
• Decrease incidents and increase uptime of the applications.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and perform tuning on code.
• Develop and enhance software programs and data structures that meet business objectives.
• Produces technical design documentation as required and ensures work complies with the architectural roadmap. Identifies and updates existing design documents impacted due to changes
• Ensures individual and team tasks are performed on-time by communicating and working closely with other members of the team.
• Retains a focus on completion, identifying and resolving issues.
• Carry out other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements
• 6+ years of experience as a Java developer
• Experience working with Java Development (JavaScript programming)
• Working knowledge of Angular, Spring, Hibernate, API development, web-enabled applications, and relational databases
• Knowledge of DBMSs, development methodology, standards, design tools and specification representation.
• Knowledge of web services REST / SOAP (JSON, XML)
• Strong experience in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Advance PL/SQL programming such as bulk handling, pipelined functions, analytical queries, collections, objects etc.
• Experience in .Net/VB script preferable
• Thorough understanding of application development project lifecycle and methodologies used.
• Ability to learn, support and enhance custom applications (Home grown)
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-moving environment.
• Able to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills (upward, lateral, and downward).
• Should have strong knowledge on Incident management, Change management and Release management.
• Ability to learn in fast pace and support custom applications and/or new technologies in a rapidly changing environment.
• Eye on continuous improvement
• Forward thinking on long-term vision/goals
• Experience with Service Now ticketing, a plus
• Experience with JIRA, a plus
• Must be a strong team player
