The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Marketing Manager who will drive revenue through the sale of tickets, donations, VIP experiences, and premium hospitality packages for all ticketed sports at San Diego State University, including Football, Women's Basketball, Men's Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Volleyball.
Collaborate with department leadership to establish annual campaign goals and report on progress weekly.
Manage simultaneous, highly targeted digital marketing campaigns to drive revenue through ticket sales, donations, VIP experiences, and premium hospitality packages.
Oversee the creation, implementation, management, and optimization of dynamic email campaigns, identifying target audiences, maintaining and updating email lists, building and launching campaigns, and developing effective content-marketing strategies to increase subscriber lists.
Work closely with data, content, and marketing team members, as well as agency partners, to create innovative campaigns for customer acquisition, expansion, and retention, leveraging marketing channels such as email, social media, webinars, sponsored events, paid search, display ads, retargeting, and direct mail.
Develop audience-centric messaging and content that resonates with specific audience segments, ensuring all marketing materials are on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone, and optimized for search and user experience.
Assist in strategizing, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive content and communications calendar looking ahead at least 120 days.
Analyze campaign performance by evaluating key measurables, including Cost Associated per Lead, Online Marketing ROI (return on investment), Customer Conversion Rates, ROAS (return on ad spend), Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), web traffic, and more.
