Job Description
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and execute sports events, including tournaments, competitions, and special sporting occasions. Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, venue selection, and resource allocation. Coordinate with stakeholders, including sports organizations, local authorities, vendors, and volunteers. Manage event logistics, such as venue setup, equipment procurement, catering, and transportation. Ensure all events comply with safety regulations, permits, and insurance requirements. Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies for events. Manage event registration processes and participant communications. Oversee on-site event management, troubleshooting issues as they arise. Conduct post-event analysis, gather feedback, and prepare reports on event success and areas for improvement. Build and maintain strong relationships with venues, suppliers, and sports associations. Manage budgets effectively, ensuring events are delivered within financial parameters. Recruit, train, and manage event staff and volunteers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Hospitality, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event planning and management, with a focus on sports events. Proven ability to plan and execute successful sporting events of various scales. Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills. Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Passion for sports and knowledge of different sports event formats. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
