Specialist, Syndicated Finance, IBG-(WD47663)
Job Purpose
DBS bank India Limited ("DBIL") is leading MNC Bank in India and continue to provide multi product offering to its clients. With our expanding network and coverage, we are also building/sharpening our syndication capabilities across INR/FCY to target corporate clients (incl mid corporates). The role would be to provide origination, structuring and distribution solutions to DBS corporate clients across India with specific focus on building our INR syndication capabilities in addition to extending support to our FCY syndication.
Key Accountabilities
• Contributing to the revenue and profitability target for Syndicated Finance, DBIL from origination and distribution perspective
• Responsible for origination, structuring and documentation of INR loan transaction, along with Relationship manager
• Responsible for marketing and distribution of above loans to market participants
• Play an instrumental role in setting up process to facilitate INR selldowns
• Extend support for origination and distribution of Foreign Currency Loans originated for Indian clients
• Work closely with regional Syndicated Finance team
• Ensure meeting internal guidelines and timelines on execution of transaction
• To comply with the Bank's process & policies and ensure positive ratings during all Country / Group audits
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• To help achieve Budgeted revenues for DBIL Syndicated Finance
• Originate loan transaction (along with existing Relationship Managers across India) incl ideation, and structuring transaction while maintaining fine balance both from distribution and client receptivity perspective
• Sharpen views on liquidity assessment along with pricing guidance
• Prepare relevant marketing materials & assist in finalizing legal documentation
• Enhance distribution capabilities and maintain relationship from distribution perspective
• Conduct Proper Due diligence both from regulatory and transaction perspective
Required Experience
• Overall 2-5 years of experience in origination and sales in the INR loan markets with some experience in FCY loan market
• Distribution experience across structures, client segment and sectors
• Strong relationship with banks, NBFCs and other investors
• Knowledge of competitors and market place
• Knowledge of relevant guidelines including RBI Master Circulars
• Market knowledge and experience, with reference to customer preferences and requirement from distribution perspective
Education / Preferred Qualifications
• An MBA or CA with relevant number of years of experience in banking and specifically in Origination and Distribution in the Domestic and Foreign Currency loan segment.

• Understanding of regulatory guidelines on banking policies issued by MAS/ RBI/SEBI (local regulations in India) and local laws and regulations that impact businesses in general. Understanding of KYC requirements & Anti-money Laundering Policies are critical.
• Knowledge of financial markets, products & competitor offerings to assist in meaningful dialogue with clients

• Close interaction with Relationship Managers across India and other stakeholders to ensure consistent ideation, origination and transaction execution
