Job Description
Accountability:
A. Financial Management & Reporting
• Oversee end‑to‑end accounting operations ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of books of accounts.
• Ensure preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis and insights to support management decision‑making.
B. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control
• Lead annual budget preparation and periodic forecasting exercises.
• Conduct monthly budget vs. actual analysis, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support management in cost optimization initiatives and financial discipline.
C. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations, including filings, payments, and assessments.
• Manage tax assessments and litigations proactively to minimize disputes and financial exposure.
• Maintain effective coordination with tax consultants and authorities.
D. Audit, Governance & Internal Controls
• Lead coordination with internal auditors, statutory auditors, and tax auditors to ensure audits are completed within agreed timelines.
• Support closure of internal audit observations and continuous improvement of internal control frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
E. Treasury, Fund & Forex Management
• Manage cash flows, working capital, and fund requirements to support business operations.
• Monitor and manage currency fluctuation risks and related financial exposures.
F. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and logistics teams to ensure high performance and compliance culture.
• Coordinate effectively with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Marketing, HR, Logistics) for smooth business operations.
• Maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, banks, suppliers, and service providers.
Education and Experience:
• MBA in Finance and/or Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.
• 20+ years of progressive experience in accounts, finance, taxation, audit, and financial leadership.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting standards, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
• Exposure to taxation, computer-based accounting systems, and modern finance processes.
• Minimum 15 years of team leadership experience, with proven ability to manage and develop finance professionals.
• Strong business partnering mindset with the ability to work with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• High standards of integrity, governance, analytical thinking, and decision-making discipline.
• Knowledge of SAP and other ERP application related to Finance and accounting
• Strong expertise in direct and indirect tax laws, tax assessments, and transfer pricing regulations.
