We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff on the hospital Wards.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based care within your area of specialism, acting as a clinical expert and role model.
Support assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with complex or long-term conditions.
Provide education, support, and counselling to patients and families, empowering them to understand and manage their health conditions.
Act as a key contact for patients, ensuring consistent, coordinated care throughout their treatment journey.
Work collaboratively with consultants, GPs, allied health professionals, and other nursing colleagues to support integrated, patient-centred care.
Lead or support audits, patient feedback initiatives, and quality improvement programmes related to your specialist area.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Registered Nurse (Adult, Child, or Mental Health, depending on specialty) with valid NMC registration.
Significant post-registration experience in the relevant specialty area.
Demonstrable specialist knowledge and advanced clinical skills within a defined field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Read more
