Job Description
Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.
Job Purpose
Business Finance responsible for monitoring and control of Institutional Business Group (IBG) or Corporate Banking financial performance & its initiatives. Budgeting, Forecasting and Business Planning and Strategy.
Key Accountabilities
• Support all initiatives for DBS bank for Institutional Banking with specific focus on liability (deposits) and asset businesses (Loans, Trade)
• Business Finance support to IBG including Trade and Treasury products through advanced business modelling, analytics including market / competitor's analysis
• Help in preparing annual budget, forecast and month flash
• Timely and accurate business performance reporting, challenge revenue and cost drivers, suggest remedial actions
• Track and monitor Branch, Sector, Segment, Channel and Product wise performance
• Drive productivity / change management initiatives
Job Duties & responsibilities
• Support IBG Business with Finance processes and controls – Design, recommendation and approval processes.
• Single point of contact for all operating issues related to IBG Finance
• Evaluate all existing KPIs in Sales, Risks and Operations and recalibrate where necessary after benchmarking with Industry
• Preparation and commentary on Month-end performance reporting and dashboards
• Analytical review of all revenue streams and margin analysis by product and customer segment
• Preparation of budgets Forecast and Flash for both IBG
• Support all ad-hoc business modelling and analytical review within IBG and GTS
• Track, Monitor and suggest remedial action where necessary for Branch, Sector, customer Segment, Channel and Product wise performance for IBG and GTS
• Coordinate all new Product launches within IBG and GTS
• Participate in identified Initiatives within IBG and GTS – Strategic &/OR Tactical
• Drive all change management initiative with IBG including process automation to drive capacity modelling
• Deploy proper knowledge management process within IBG Finance by regular update of Departmental Operating Instructions and Create back up for all critical processes
• Deploy, monitor and review compliance with Group (HO) Policies and Procedures within IBG and GTS
• Contribute to Group (HO) deliverables related to IBG and GTS
• Participate in all Finance-wide initiatives and activities
Required Experience
• 7 - + years Post Qualification Experience in commercial banks preferably in corporate banking space
• Have managed the Financial Planning and Analysis of Institutional Banking in previous role preferably including preparation and review of budgets
• Conversant with RBI Regulations
• Conversant with Accounting Standards (Indian GAAP, IFRS)
• Exposure in Regulatory reporting, taxation, accounting and dealing with auditors will be added advantage
Education / Preferred Qualifications
• CA and / or
• MBA Finance from Premier Institutions

• Solid exposure to Institutional Banking products (assets and liabilities) and processes
• Good understanding of macroeconomic drivers
• Good understanding of revenue and cost drivers of Institutional Banking business, ability to manage budgeting independently
• Understanding of RBI regulations on Institutional Banking
• Exposure in Digital Banking platform
• Very Good in Business Modelling Skills
• Good knowledge of accounting systems and principles (revenue recognition in particular)

• Hands on exposure in ERP (preferably PSGL) and BI tools (Preferably Hyperion)

• Exposure to hedging principles
• Very good communication and Influencing skills
• Ability to think out of the box
• High proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint in specific)
