Job Description
Face-to-Face Fundraising – Bring Your Dog to Work | Auckland Based
Dark Horse Marketing (DHM) is looking for confident, outgoing people to join our face-to-face fundraising team, working on behalf of major animal welfare campaigns across New Zealand.
This is a fast-paced, people-focused role where you’ll speak with the public, raise support for animals in need, and work as part of a social, high-energy team.
No office. No desk. No two days the same.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working at busy retail sites, shopping centres and events
Speaking with members of the public face-to-face
Representing respected animal welfare and charity campaigns
Signing supporters up for ongoing donation programmes
Working alongside a motivated and supportive team
Travelling to different locations around Auckland and occasionally further afield
Bring Your Dog to Work
At many of our sites, friendly and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Dogs naturally help start conversations and make the working environment genuinely enjoyable.
Dog ownership is definitely a bonus, but it is not essential.
What We’re Looking For
We care far more about attitude, confidence and work ethic than previous experience.
People who usually do well in this role are:
Confident and outgoing
Competitive and motivated
Strong communicators
Comfortable approaching new people
Reliable and energetic
Positive team players
Experience in sales, hospitality, retail, fitness, customer service or fundraising is helpful, but not required.
Full training and ongoing coaching are provided.
Pay Options
This is not exclusively a commission-only opportunity.
Depending on your experience, availability and suitability for the role, positions may be offered on either:
An hourly wage with performance incentives; or
A performance-based earning structure with strong earning potential
The available pay structure will be discussed clearly during the interview process, so you will understand how the role works before accepting an offer.
Important
Having reliable transport is a major advantage due to travel between sites and occasional road trips.
That said, we may be flexible for the right candidate with a strong attitude and work ethic.

Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
