In addition to innovative kitchen and bar programs; we also have an extensive catering offerings including private dining, full service and drop off packages. We are seeking experienced kitchen professionals for senior roles in our two locations; El Taquero Tacos Tequila and Chilango Modern Mexican Restaurant; both located in the Downtown core of Kelowna.

Position will depend on passion and experience; overall responsibilities will be as follows:

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards and regulations
- Create and develop new menu items, taking into consideration customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain stock levels
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop and implement cost-effective strategies for menu planning and pricing
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Handle any customer concerns or complaints related to food quality or service

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a chef or cook in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of bartending techniques is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
