Job Title: Sous Chef – Asian Cuisine

Location: Bandra, Mumbai (On-Site)

Role Overview

DJRS Hospitality is looking for a skilled and passionate Sous Chef with strong expertise in Asian cuisine to join our culinary team in Bandra. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in the kitchen, with a minimum of 1 year in a Sous Chef role, preferably in premium or modern Asian restaurants. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a creative and collaborative kitchen environment focused on innovation, precision, and authenticity.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in planning, developing, and executing Asian cuisine menus (e.g., Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Pan-Asian).

Supervise kitchen operations and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.

Oversee food preparation, quality control, and presentation standards.

Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and cost control in coordination with the Head Chef.

Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff.

Maintain hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with FSSAI and internal protocols.

Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely and exceptional customer experiences.

Contribute to menu development and seasonal innovations.

Qualifications Skills

Minimum 8 years of total experience in culinary operations, with 1+ year as a Sous Chef.

Specialization and hands-on expertise in Asian cuisine is a must.

Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities.

Excellent understanding of kitchen operations, stock control, and hygiene standards.

Creative flair with a commitment to culinary excellence.

Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred but not mandatory).
