Software Test Engineer - Contract

Join my clients Christchurch-based team as a Software Test Engineer, contributing to an innovative and industry-leading organisation. Multiple roles are available, and we welcome hourly rate contractors or 12 year fixed-term assignments.

As a Software Test Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring product quality and performance through robust test automation.

Your responsibilities will include:

Designing and implementing end-to-end tests using Playwright
Collaborating with developers and domain experts to align testing with product goals
Identifying and resolving test coverage gaps and scope challenges
Supporting CI/CD pipelines and test integration across platforms
To thrive in this role, you should bring:

At least 3 years of experience in software testing or test automation
Strong hands-on expertise with Playwright (TypeScript or JavaScript)
Familiarity with browser-based UI testing and cross-platform validation
Experience with Agile development practices and test-driven workflows
Bonus: exposure to C++, AngularJS, or Linux/Windows environments
