Job Description
BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position performs moderate research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
• Early joining candidates preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Strong analytical skills, Communication, Problem Solving skills.
• Strong Knowledge on SQL.
• Knowledge on software development lifecycle.
• Good understanding on Data Manipulation Language, basic ETL concepts .
• Basic knowledge on any of the language – Python, SQL, Perl, Unix any ETL tool.
• Must have real time project exp and also have better understanding of the ETL – Data processing, Facts and Dimension, Data Profiling, knowledge in using any ETL tool – Talend, Informatica, IBM DataStage, Pentaho.
• If experienced – Must have end to end understanding of SDLC, from requirement gathering to deploying on PROD. If not worked at least must understand the terminologies.
• Good to have - GIT, DevOps, Cloud, Unix basic knowledge.
Interpersonal Skills –
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good Problem Solving and Requirement understanding skills
• Positive Attitude, ability, and desires to learn new processes and technologies.
• Good to have awareness of basic office etiquette.
• Good to have minimal knowledge of tech processes and terminologies knowledge.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Once the team member has finish training program, he/she will need to be accountable for below points –
• Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders or partners.
• Understand bug or requirement, Complete simple bug fixes, do unit testing and document same in JIRA or as per team standards.
• Write and get code reviewed for detailed specifications for the development of system components of simple complexity.
• Under the guidance of senior-level engineers, successfully implement development processes, coding best practices and code reviews.
• Resolve basic technical issues, as necessary.
• Keep abreast of new technology developments.
• Workday, trainings, understand team members, join meet, and inform if not joining. Soft Skills needs to be pursued and be respectful to all team members.
• May need to deliver end to end products once comfortable with functional domain knowledge, bugs and small enhancements, Change Requests.
• Will need to undergo training and with support from mentee for Core Technology and Concepts – Bigdata – HPCC ECL, Basic Python, ETL concepts or BI.
• Technology for day-to-day work will be used will be along with core tech are – SQL, DevOps, Basic Cloud (Azure), Unix
