About Avaya Opportunity
Avaya is seeking a highly skilled Director of Engineering to lead our development team responsible for Voice Services in the Cloud. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design, development, and maintenance of our cloud-based products and services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
About The Responsibilities
• Director of Cloud R&D
• Directs the development team responsible for Voice Services in the Cloud,
• Accountable for leadership of a team and execution of deliverables
• Collaborate with Engineering peers and company executives on key innovation initiatives
• Provide transparent status to stakeholders

About The Requirements
• 18 Years of Experience
• People Management Experience
Skills & Competencies
• Hands-on Director of Engineering with 18 years of technical leadership experience to provide strategic directions to teams.
• At least 8 years of experience in managing multiple teams of 30-100 software developers.
• Proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale cloud offerings.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, including automation, continuous integration, and deployment
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements for cloud services
• Experience with Cloud architecture, Cloud application development, SaaS, containerization, microservices, Kubernetes, AI/ML, CI-CD.
• Experience in creating bright and highly skilled technical teams across multiple geographies.
• Establishing engineering processes, best practices, experienced with Agile-Scrum methodology.
• Leading the product development by collaborating with cross-functional core stakeholders across the engineering, product management, and support teams.
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent People Management skills
• IP Telephony and Contact Center experience is highly preferred.
