The base pay for this position ranges from $12+,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market

Design, develop and maintain highly reliable, scalable software systems that underpin CloudWatch services
Build innovative new features and capabilities into the CloudWatch platform to solve complex customer problems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues through root cause analysis, balancing time-to-resolution with proper fix implementation

You will design, build and operate massively scaled and highly available systems to provide observability into AWS services, applications and infrastructure to millions of customers worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain highly reliable, scalable software systems that underpin CloudWatch services.
Build innovative new features and capabilities into the CloudWatch platform to solve complex customer problems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues through root cause analysis, balancing time-to-resolution with proper fix implementation.
Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions and debugging sessions.
Drive architecture, design and implementation of systems across object storage, compute, database and analytics.
Collaborate with product, UX and program management to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
