Super Generalist — Social Media (Because)
Location: Ahmedabad | Type: Full-time
Who we are:
Because turns businesses into brands. We're a Creative Technology company — 7 years in, 100 people strong, working with everyone from large conglomerates to legacy brands doing a turnaround to new-age founders building from scratch.
We don't hire "designers" or "video editors" or "social media coordinators" in the traditional sense. We hire Super Generalists — people who think sharply and can pick up whatever AI tool the job needs, instead of being boxed into one skill for life. This role leads with social media, but you won't just be scheduling posts.
What you'll actually do:
• Own social media for a set of client brands — planning, content calendars, captions, community response, the whole loop
• Use AI tools to write, design, and edit content fast — you're expected to move across copy, basic visual design, and video/reels editing, not wait for someone else to hand you assets
• Think in terms of what the brand needs to say and why, not just what to post — you'll be close to strategy, not just execution
• Track what's working (engagement, growth, what content types land) and adjust — no post-and-pray
• Jump in on adjacent work when needed — a quick deck slide, a client-facing report, a campaign idea — because that's the Because way
What we're looking for:
• 3 years of hands-on social media experience (agency or brand-side)
• Comfortable using AI tools daily — for writing, editing, research, ideation — and genuinely curious to learn more
• Strong sense of language and tone — you can write a caption that doesn't sound like everyone else's caption
• Some working knowledge of basic design/video editing tools (Canva, CapCut, Premiere, whatever — tool doesn't matter, comfort with picking up new ones does)
• Someone who gets bored doing just one thing — that's a good sign for this role, not a red flag
What you won't be doing:
Sitting only in a content calendar spreadsheet all day, waiting for briefs, or treating this as a stepping stone job with a fixed job description that never changes. This role grows with you.
