Communication and Sustainability Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking a creative and organised Communications & Sustainability Coordinator to support Pan Pac's communications, environmental, and sustainability initiatives. This fixed-term, project-focused role will work across our Corporate, Lumber, Pulp, and Forests business units to strengthen our brand, engage stakeholders, and support key sustainability programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing engaging content across digital, social media, video, and print channels.
Coordinating internal communications, external newsletters, website content, and brand collateral.
Supporting stakeholder engagement activities and community initiatives.
Assisting with environmental and sustainability projects, including the Pan Pac Environmental Trust.
Supporting Forest Stewardship Council and PEFC certification activities, audits, and reporting requirements.
Promoting Pan Pac's culture, values, and commitment to sustainability.
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to combine communications expertise with meaningful sustainability and stakeholder engagement work.
This role is fixed term for 10 months, part-time, 24 hours per week based at our Whirinaki site located 15 mins north of Napier.

About you
In this role, you'll bring a mix of communication expertise, creativity, and relationship-building skills to support engaging and effective communications across the business. We are looking for someone who brings:
Relevant tertiary degree
Relevant qualification in Communications, Journalism, English, or similar.
2+ years' experience in communications, content creation, and digital channels.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Experience creating video, photography, and social media content.
Proficient in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Stream, and Adobe Photoshop.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
Confident working independently and collaboratively.
Highly organised, with strong planning and multitasking abilities.
Interest in sustainability and environmental initiatives is advantageous.
