About the role
The Site Supervisor is the operational link between the Site Engineer and the workforce on the ground. The role ensures that day-to-day construction activities run smoothly, safely, and on schedule, with tight quality control at the execution level.
Key responsibilities
Supervise daily site activities and ensure work proceeds as per the execution plan.
Allocate work to skilled and unskilled labor; ensure productivity targets are met.
Ensure availability of materials, tools, and equipment at the workfront before work starts.
Monitor workmanship and immediately flag deviations from drawings or specifications.
Maintain attendance and labor deployment records.
Coordinate with the Site Engineer on technical clarifications and progress updates.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure use of PPE at all times.
Maintain housekeeping and discipline at the site.
Qualifications
Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI with relevant specialization (graduates are also welcome).
3+ years of experience in construction supervision; industrial construction experience preferred.
Skills
Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
Strong people management and on-ground leadership skills.
Familiarity with construction techniques, materials, and tools.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
