Job Description
Job Summary
Horizon Sign Solutions (HSS) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Sign Production Technician to support the fabrication and installation of high-quality signage projects. This hands-on role is ideal for a dependable team player who takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently, and is committed to delivering professional results.
The Sign Production Technician assists with design layout preparation and is responsible for production, finishing, and installation support for a wide range of signage — from interior wayfinding and identification signage to large-format exterior displays.
Please note: This is not a Graphic Designer position.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate and produce various types of signage including vinyl graphics, decals, dimensional letters, and large-format prints.
Operate production equipment including large-format printers, plotters, laminators, and finishing tools.
Apply vinyl and laminate to a variety of substrates with accuracy and attention to detail.
Perform basic sign assembly and assist with on-site installations.
Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications and client expectations.
Maintain a clean, organized production workspace and track materials/inventory.
Communicate professionally with team members and clients during production and installation phases.
Required Skills & Qualifications
0–3 years of experience in the sign industry or related production/manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with sign fabrication techniques, materials, substrates, and installation methods.
Experience operating large-format printers, vinyl plotters, laminators, and associated finishing equipment.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and RIP software.
Proficiency in vinyl application and laminate finishing.
Strong understanding of measurements, scaling, and material handling.
High attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights when required.
Comfortable using hand and power tools.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (clean abstract preferred).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a professional, positive attitude.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
