Full job description
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Shop Hand to support our manufacturing operations.

Your main responsibilities will include grinding and deburring parts, handling incoming and outgoing orders through packing and shipping, and managing material, including moving, cutting, and storing it.

This role also involves general shop maintenance and assisting machinists to ensure the shop runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Deburring and Grinding: Remove sharp edges and clean up parts using hand tools, grinders, and other finishing equipment.
Chemical Conversion Coating: Assist in the preparation and application of chemical conversion coatings per company processes and safety standards.
Material Handling:

Safely operate forklifts to unload and store incoming material.
Assist with moving raw material and finished parts to and from machines.
Organize and label material on shelves and in staging areas.
Shop Maintenance and Cleaning:

Sweep, mop, and maintain overall cleanliness of the shop floor.
Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and workstations.
Machinist Support:

Be available to assist machinists with setup, moving components, and general support as required.
Packaging and Shipping:

Prepare finished parts for shipment by cleaning, packing, and labeling as per customer requirements.
Assist in coordinating and loading outgoing shipments.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a shop or manufacturing environment is an asset.
Familiarity with hand tools, grinders, and basic shop equipment.
Ability to operate a forklift safely (forklift license is a needed for operation).
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work well independently or in a team.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed.
Able to follow AS9100 and 5S standards.

Pay: $17.36-$23.00 per hour
