We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vessel Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in vessel accounting within a reputable ship management company or ship owner. This role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a focus on third-party Owners monthly reporting and proficiency in ship management ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and manage monthly financial reports for third-party Owners, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Oversee the financial management and accounting of vessels under management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Supervise and manage a team of 2-3 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Maintain and update financial records in the ship management ERP system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Liaise with the Ship Management Office Manager and Managing Director to align financial operations with overall business objectives.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
• Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and procedures.
• Manage audits and prepare necessary documentation for external auditors.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of vessel accounting experience within a reputable ship manager or owner with a mix of in-house and third-party ship management.
• Management experience of small team is an advantage.
• Strong experience in third-party Owners monthly reporting is essential.
• Proficiency in working with ship management ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Ability to work autonomously with attention to detail and a disciplined approach to tasks.
