Lead Android Automotive OS and Linux BSP development for vehicle platforms.
Responsibilities
• Design and optimize software solutions for Android Automotive OS and Linux BSP environments.
• Drive technical decisions, conduct code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across Software, Validation, and Electrical disciplines for seamless integration.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage small engineering teams of 4–8 members.
• Communicate with external technology partners to align on deliverables and resolve technical issues.
Required Skills
• 4–8 years of hands-on experience with Android Automotive OS and/or Linux BSP development.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Linux kernel 5/6+ development.
• Experience with device drivers, embedded systems, and Android HAL (HIDL/AIDL) design.
• Proficiency with Android build systems (AOSP/Soong) and embedded build systems (Yocto/Bitbake).
• Working knowledge of version control and code review tools including Git, Gerrit, and GitHub.
• Demonstrated experience leading small engineering teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting to engineering and business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in automotive domains such as ADAS, infotainment, or instrument clusters.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR, SOME/IP, or protocols like CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
• Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
