Senior RampD Manager

This position exists with one of our esteemed clients. They are the leading manufacturer and supplier of industrial equipments in India.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Managing patent search & application for all new developments
• Generating, evaluating, and developing new product ideas
• Designing and developing new components including ring spinning drafting systems
• Managing development and testing of prototypes
• Evaluating new components including drafting and benchmarking with the competition
• Leading root cause analysis and identification of corrective/preventive actions for field failures
• Product management
• Process engineering including defining & documenting manufacturing processes including CNC turning, VMC, centerless grinding, hardening, stamping and assembly for precision mechanical components manufactured inhouse
• Root cause analysis and CAPA for product quality and other issues
• Manufacturing process trials for continual process improvements
• Manufacturing process development for new components

Required knowledge :
• Indepth knowledge and experience of designing precision stamping component assemblies (preferably textile spinning drafting systems)
• Indepth knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheetmetal components manufacturing, plastic molding, CNC turning, VMC, grinding, heattreatment, etc.
• Knowledge of material standards and specifications, drawing interpretation, dimensional & geometric tolerances, surface finish, etc.;
• Proficiency in using CAD software (Solidworks)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tooling's including CNC turning, VMC, mechanical presses and assembly for precision mechanical components
• Understanding mechanical engineering drawings for precision components
• CNC turning programming experience (preferred)
• Root cause analysis and resolution of production quality and productivity issues for precision turned components
