About the Role
For this exciting position within our Data and Artificial Intelligence team, we are seeking an experienced individual to build, enhance, and optimise core components of the Data & AI Platform, including data pipelines, AI/ML platform services, model deployment infrastructure, APIs, and platform automation capabilities, with a focus on scalability, performance, security, and reusability.
Working closely with the Platform Manager, your main responsibilities will include the following but not be limited to the below:
Lead the configuration and management of cloud-native and hybrid environments (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric, Azure ML), ensuring platform reliability, observability, security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Contribute to MLOps, DevOps, and AI platform engineering capabilities, including model lifecycle management, deployment automation, observability, Infrastructure as Code, and AI service enablement for engineering and data science teams.
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code, automation, and platform engineering patterns using tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Kubernetes, and cloud-native services.
Implement and advocate for platform-level security controls (e.g., IAM, encryption, firewall rules, secrets management), ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and proactively addressing vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, platform engineers, security teams, and product teams to enable scalable and governed AI/ML workloads across the enterprise.
About you and your skills
Experience building and operating AI/ML platform capabilities, including MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, AI services, and cloud-native platform engineering.
Experience with DevOps, platform automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, Kubernetes, and modern engineering practices.
Strong understanding of security engineering, identity and access management, secrets management, observability, and operational resilience.
Experience in Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, Fabric, Azure ML, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, Kubernetes, and monitoring/observability tooling.
