To succeed in this role, you will:


Lead the newly created unit responsible for planning and managing the annual transfer payment reconciliation process for Ministry programs.
Drive the strategic effort to manage the large volume of reconciliations required to be completed every fiscal year, and design and implement more efficient, sustainable processes to limit the accumulation of volumes over time. Design staffing models and work plans that optimize how the team operates and supports ministry priorities.
Partner with Ministry colleagues, agencies including Ontario Health, and transfer payment organizations to ensure transparency, compliance, and timely reconciliation on an ongoing basis.
Guide business planning, roadmap development, and continuous improvement initiatives with your management team.
Propose practical, forward-looking solutions to improve governance, streamline processes, and strengthen financial oversight.

Meet Your New Team

You will be part of the senior management team within the Financial Management Branch. The branch supports the Ministry of Health by overseeing financial planning, forecasting, transfer payment administration, and year-end financial management. The branch plays a critical role in delivering financial services that support Ontario's health care system.

In this role, you will report to and be supported by Helder Marcos, Director of the Financial Management Branch, has 20 years experience in the Ontario Public Service in both line ministry and central agency roles.
