Senior Manager, Marketing Programs
Job Description
Lead the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across web, social, video, and other channels, working closely with lawyers and internal partners to build awareness, reach the right audiences, and clearly measure success.
Shape and execute the marketing and communications approach for Osler's flagship thought leadership reports, collaborating across the firm to ensure our insights land with the audiences that matter most.
Evaluate, negotiate, and activate sponsorships and other market opportunities that support business goals and strengthen the firm's profile, partnering with marketing and business development colleagues on high-visibility initiatives.
Provide strategic direction for all client-facing events - virtual, in-person, and social - to deliver a strong, consistent brand experience. Lead and mentor the Manager, Client Events, and support their team in delivering high-quality events.
Work closely with the BD team, practice groups, and other stakeholders to spot emerging issues, growth areas, and new opportunities, and translate these into compelling website content and marketing plans.
Collaborate with the Senior Specialist, Client & Marketing Analytics to understand how our marketing is performing overall, bringing together data from campaigns, client communications, website activity, and social channels to inform decisions and improve results.
Juggle multiple priorities and projects with confidence, delivering thoughtful, high-quality work on time and building strong relationships with stakeholders along the way.
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
The position requires a university degree preferably in marketing or communications and a minimum of ten years of experience in B2B marketing, with at least five years proven experience leading a Marketing team. Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment is considered a strong asset. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be acceptable.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong people leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
Extensive experience partnering with senior stakeholders, including lawyers and executive leaders to ensure marketing initiatives, are well targeted and aligned with business priorities.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for high-value thought leadership reports and major publications.
Proven ability to provide strategic, senior-level oversight of firm sponsorships and comprehensive event portfolios, spanning virtual, in-person, and social events.
Advanced experience planning, executing, and optimizing digital advertising campaigns within a B2B environment, including PPC, SEM, and sponsored social media (e.g., LinkedIn Ads).
Advanced knowledge of marketing and communications best practices, including CRM systems, content management platforms (such as WordPress), email marketing, and social media tools.
Strong capability to design and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns end-to-end, from strategy through execution and measurement.
Deep understanding of marketing analytics, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategic improvements.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including writing and editing for senior and external audiences.
Highly adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated discretion and a strong client-service mindset.
We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
Compensation
The range of expected compensation for this position is $135,000 - $145,000 annually. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
