As a Legal Counsel (Senior Manager Level) in our company based in Delhi, you will play a crucial role in providing timely and business-focused advice to various departments, including the debt products origination desk. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple complex structured debt transactions from start to finish, ensuring meticulous handling of all aspects such as drafting and negotiating documentation for asset-based finance, NCDs, and securitization transactions.
- Conducting legal reviews and advising on risk management for innovative financing structures and investment product development. You will also work on structuring products/features to minimize legal risk and review relevant documentation.
- Negotiating with multiple stakeholders across different business lines and legal teams.
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers involved in finance transactions.
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- LLB/LLM degree with a minimum of 6-10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably a combination of in-house experience (preferably at a financial services firm with a debt investment desk) and experience at a top-tier law firm specializing in Banking and Finance.
- Familiarity with reviewing, drafting, and negotiating NCD documents, loan agreements, and securitization transactions/structured financing documentation.
- Experience in advising on debt capital market transactions will be a plus.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
