Job Description
Join WM, North America’s leading environmental services provider, as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic III. We offer a stable Monday–Friday schedule (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) at our Elizabeth, NJ landfill site, prioritizing your safety and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose and repair bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front-end loaders, and yard trucks.
System Diagnostics: Handle complex repairs on hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
Preventative Care: Perform routine maintenance as per site checklists.
Administration: Complete work orders, P.M. checklists, and oil sample reports.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $26.97 - $40.46 per hour (depending on experience).

Requirements
Experience: At least 6 years of maintenance mechanic experience on heavy equipment.
Credentials: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Eligibility: Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Physical: Ability to lift, push, pull, and climb; must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and PFT/Audiogram.
