Job Overview
The role of Construction Accounting Manager involves overseeing the financial accounting functions within an organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting and fiscal discipline.
This position requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles, financial management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have worked in construction accounting or contractor accounting, with knowledge of the % completion method of accounting and project profitability.
Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing daily accounting activities, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Preparing and analyzing monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Coordinating and facilitating the construction draw process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds.
• Managing the yearly audit and tax compliance process.
Requirements include:
• Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 8-10 years of experience in the real estate/construction industry.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.
• Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
