This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and optimization of all company facilities globally. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in facilities management, vendor contract negotiation, budget oversight, and implementing best practices in building operations, all managed from a remote setting. You will be the central point of contact for all facility-related matters, driving efficiency and ensuring a safe and productive working environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of all company facilities, including maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and security. Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management strategies and policies. Manage and negotiate contracts with third-party vendors for services such as maintenance, cleaning, landscaping, and security. Develop and manage the annual facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and identifying opportunities for savings. Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, environmental, and building codes and regulations. Oversee major repair and capital projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion. Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of building systems. Develop and maintain strong relationships with building owners, property managers, and local authorities. Respond to and resolve facility-related emergencies and issues promptly. Utilize facilities management software (CMMS) to track work orders, manage assets, and analyze operational data. Develop and implement sustainability initiatives within facility operations. Lead and mentor a distributed team of facilities coordinators and site managers. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality standards and operational efficiency. Develop and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to facilities. Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs through best practices and technology adoption. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities operations and management, preferably in a large, multi-site organization. Proven experience in managing large budgets and negotiating complex vendor contracts. Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), building codes, and safety regulations. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Experience in managing remote teams and operations. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFM, FMP) are highly desirable. This is a critical leadership role allowing you to manage and shape the physical environment of our client's operations entirely from a remote location, impacting thousands of employees worldwide.
