The Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting is one of the world’s most highly regarded communications consultancies. We offer a broad base of disciplines across a variety of specialist sectors including financial services, retail and consumer, digital, natural resources, energy, public affairs, real estate, professional services, people change, technology media telecoms (TMT) and life sciences.

The 50-strong Financial Professional Services team builds and protects reputational value for the full spectrum of UK and international businesses, from banks and investment banks, to insurers, asset managers, private equity firms, hedge funds and governments.

You would be joining a fast-paced team which delivers both financial and corporate communications support and advice to its clients and values hard work, an entrepreneurial approach and the capacity to take on new ideas and develop knowledge. What You’ll Do

You will play a fundamental role within the client account teams, delivering high-quality work to an array of financial services clients across our core established sectors including savings and investments, banking and insurance, among others. Responsibilities will include:

Deliver corporate communications programmes, helping to develop and maintain media relationships and managing news hook calendars
Engage with media on a daily basis, keeping abreast of media moves and role/beat changes for journalists
Engaging on the topics shaping the sector, contributing to news monitoring and delivering news reports and analysis both internally and to external clients
Assist senior team members in creatively preparing and delivering the client mandates, including draft press releases, draft media statements, media pitches and award entries
Work alongside colleagues to ensure timescales and quality assurance are adhered to
Compile client activity reports, helping to keep account teams on track with deliverables

How You’ll Grow

Deliver research and contribute to new business pitch documents for the team as requested
Proactively network with media and industry contacts, as well as potential clients
Participate in weekly team meetings by contributing ideas and client information with the team
