Job Description
Do Work That Matters .
You will join CommBank’s Structured Trade Finance team sitting in our Market Operations division within our Chief Operations Office (COO). The Structured Trade Finance team are accountable for the delivery of Structured Trade and Supply Chain Finance Products for our Trade Finance teams supporting Institutional Banking & Markets and Business & Private Bank clients in Australia and offshore.
The Role.
As a Senior Associate in Structured Trade Solutions, you will support our Clients in the operations and handling of Structured Trade, Working Capital and Supply Chain Finance & receivables finance products ensuring we meet their needs and requirements. You will also provide holistic support across our Commodities, Trade and the Carbon business.
You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and clients on both new to bank and existing facilities and their Structured Trade Product facility implementations. You will also be responsible for transaction management, including pre-operational checks on Structured Trade Transactions. You will maintain a high degree of commodity market knowledge relating to both domestic and international activities.
On any given day you will:
Provide exceptional service to clients on their Structured trade finance, Working Capital and Supply Chain Finance needs
Process and manage Commodity Structured Inventory transactions within credit approvals, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Support sales channels and trade sales specialists
Assist with updates of operating procedures for all existing and new client facilities within compliance and internal audit requirements.

You will have strong knowledge covering Structured Trade Finance products (including Inventory and Supply Chain Finance) and risks, mitigating actions, and customers. You will possess acute attention to detail skills and will be able to collaborate and communicate complex ideas and situations clearly.
You will also have:
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Knowledge of financing Hard and Soft commodity products through structured trade finance
Broad understanding of Traditional Trade Finance
Familiarity with Working Capital & Structured Trade Finance products (including Inventory and Supply Chain Finance) and risks.
Broad Experience on AML and KYC risk themes
Qualifications: CDCS, Certified Documentary Credit Specialist is desired
