HAUS Careers is proud to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced and design-focused Project Architect to join a well-established architectural studio in Central London. Renowned for its carefully considered approach to commercial and retrofit architecture, the practice delivers high-quality projects across complex existing and heritage buildings throughout the city.
This role is ideal for a confident Architect with strong technical and delivery experience who is looking to take on greater responsibility within a collaborative and creative studio environment.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in leading and delivering commercial refurbishment and retrofit projects across multiple RIBA stages, with a particular focus on technical coordination and project delivery. Working closely with directors and senior team members, you’ll oversee project packages, mentor junior staff, and help drive high-quality design solutions from concept through to completion using ArchiCAD.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead projects and project packages through RIBA Stages 3–5
• Manage technical design coordination and project delivery
• Produce and review detailed drawing packages, BIM models, and technical information in ArchiCAD
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, and client teams throughout project stages
• Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, planning requirements, and technical standards
• Support and mentor junior team members across live projects
• Contribute to programme management, design reviews, and overall project quality
• Maintain high standards of technical detailing and design execution
Skills & Experience
• ARB registered Architect with several years of post-Part III professional experience
• Strong background delivering commercial, retrofit, or refurbishment projects in the UK
• Excellent technical knowledge and experience across RIBA Stages 3–5
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing, and coordination
• Experience working on existing or heritage buildings is highly desirable
• Confident communicator with leadership and team coordination experience
• Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities
