About the Role
BDO’s Melbourne Deal Advisory division is experiencing strong growth and is seeking an experienced Mergers Acquisitions (MA) Senior Analyst to join our market-leading MA team.

About the division
BDO’s Melbourne Deal Advisory is a full-service corporate finance team of mid-market specialists.
The team provides a broad range of corporate finance services including:
Mergers Acquisitions – sell-side and buy-side lead advisory, as well as targeted corporate and strategic advice
Valuations - business, shares, options and assets valuations, financial modelling, litigation support and independent expert reports
Transaction Services - buy-side and sell-side due diligence and investigating accountant’s reports
Value Creation Services – MA strategy development, commercial due diligence and integrations and separation assistance
About the opportunity
As an MA Senior Analyst your primary responsibility will be to assist with the delivery of MA projects on a day-to-day basis including lead sell-side and buy-side advisory services and building strong client relationships across a variety of industries including amongst others, technology, automotive, healthcare, education and industrials.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting financial investigations and preparing detailed reports, including historical financial analysis, and industry benchmarking to support MA transactions.
Preparing and reviewing financial statements, 3-way financial models, and valuation analyses in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Collaborating with internal teams to develop strategic business insights, including the preparation of indicative valuations and target company assessments.
Representing the firm at client engagements and industry events, promoting the firm’s financial advisory capabilities and maintaining strong professional relationships.
Contributing to national initiatives within the MA and broader accounting teams, including knowledge sharing, process improvement, and compliance training
