Senior Accountant / Taxation and Project Finance Expert

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in taxation and project finance management for our Pune-based electrical turnkey contracting company. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in managing accounting operations for industrial projects, including project-based costing, budgeting, and taxation specific to the construction and contracting industry. Responcibilities :
• 1. Accounting Project Finance Management:
• Manage all accounting operations for industrial electrical projects, including project costing, work-in-progress (WIP) accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Oversee the preparation of project-specific financial reports and track profitability.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing in line with project schedules.
• Monitor cash flow for ongoing projects and coordinate with project managers for financial planning.
• 2. Taxation Compliance:
• Manage direct and indirect taxation, including GST, TDS, and project-specific compliance requirements.
• Ensure timely filing of GST returns, TDS payments, and corporate tax compliance.
• Handle tax audits and assessments, ensuring compliance with Indian tax regulations.
• Assist in preparing project-specific tax strategies and cost allocation.
• 3. Budgeting Cost Control:
• Develop project budgets, track actual expenses, and ensure that all projects remain within financial scope.
• Perform variance analysis and report deviations to senior management.
• Assist project managers in preparing financial projections and cost-benefit analyses for new projects.
• 4. Project-Based Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain project-specific financial statements and periodic reporting.
• Track key financial metrics related to each project, such as overhead allocation and resource utilization.
• Provide inputs for project feasibility and financial planning.
• 5. Contract Compliance Management:
• Ensure financial and tax compliance specific to project contracts and sub-contracting agreements.
• Coordinate with legal teams to manage financial clauses in client and subcontractor contracts.
• Monitor project billing and revenue recognition as per contract terms.
• Requirements:
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in accounting roles with a focus on project finance and taxation.
• Previous experience in accounting for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or turnkey projects is highly desirable.
• Professional certifications such as CA / CMA are preferred.
• Expertise in Indian tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and project-based compliance.
• Proficiency in project accounting software and tools like Tally ERP, SAP, or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and project tracking.
