Senior Accountant - Metro Accessible in Bethesda
About The Company And Opportunity
• Our client is an organization in the Bethesda area with over 50 years in the business of helping their customers in the service industry.
• Due to an vacancy, they are looking to bring on a Senior Accountant!
• The position is temporary, but for the right candidate can turn permanent.
• Pay: $48-50 depending on experience.

• Schedule is Monday – Friday 8:30a-5:00p.

Overview Of The Senior Accountant Role
• Post journal entries to general ledger.
• General ledger accounting through month-end close.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Perform various account reconciliations.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
• Develop and document internal processes and workflow.
• Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
Preferred Qualifications For The Senior Accountant
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
• 7+ years’ of corporate experience is preferred
• Proficient in Excel is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
