Senior Accountant (Jewellery Industry)
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.
• Manage inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, and valuation.
• Monitor manufacturing costs and prepare MIS reports for management.
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits.
• Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
• Handle import and export accounting, documentation, and compliance.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, logistics partners, and shipping agencies.
• Ensure timely preparation and verification of Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Shipping Bills, IEC-related documents, and other export documentation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Supervise and guide the accounts team.
Required Qualifications
• B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter, or equivalent qualification.
• 5–8 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the jewellery manufacturing/export industry.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of import-export documentation and compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime, Busy, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in jewellery inventory management and costing.
• Knowledge of bullion accounting will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
