Qualification: ICWA / MBA Finance preferred
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial transactions in Chennai. The primary focus of this role is accurate Sales/Purchase Billing and maintaining up-to-date records in Tally Prime/ERP 9. The ideal candidate will ensure that all invoices are generated correctly and payments are tracked systematically.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including invoicing, billing, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
Maintain accurate and updated financial records in Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
Perform bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and customer account reconciliation.
Monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely follow-ups.
Maintain inventory-related accounting and support stock audits when required.
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and MIS reports for management review.
Identify discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and ensure error-free records.
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
Maintain confidentiality and support process improvements in the finance function.
Requirements:
- 10+ years hands-on experience in handling a branch.
- Robust knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act.
- Proven experience in internal audit, finalization of accounts & CA coordination.
- Expertise in Tally, SAP, or ERP systems with multi-branch setup.
- Excellent leadership, analytical & problem-solving skills
- High integrity, attention to detail & ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Skills:
- Must have handled manufacturing/FMCG/trading industry with multi-state operations.
- Familiarity with other accounting or ERP tools.
- Experience in vendor management and costing
